Your Move is Corrupted... by Tadness
Your Move is Corrupted...
Basically this one's an alternate version of my previous upload here. The only thing I changed was the encoding. (A-Law, for those curious. The original was U-Law.) The process I used (+1 dB for each column.) is the same.
Made in GIMP and Audacity.

Digital Decay by Tadness
Digital Decay
This one was very time-consuming, but worth it. Each column was selected (I used a spreadsheet program to calculate/lay out where to start/stop selecting so it'd be more or less even.) and an extra dB of bass was added to each additional one. 15 in all, not counting the first unglitched column.

Base image made with GIMP, databending done with Audacity.

Digital Sunset by Tadness
Digital Sunset
More random 1-pixel Retinex stuff. Made in Gimp. Before I used automatic color-correction this was a teal/green combo. I think this color-scheme looks better.

Glitch-speriment: ~Treble~
Same concept as the bass, same format (16-bit RGB bitmap, A-Law encoding) but with treble, and different base colors. Seems whatever colors I tried didn't really affect things in the same way the bass did, it just changed them slightly, which is a real shame. It did add a slight 3D-ish effect, which is pretty cool…

Glitch-speriment: Bass^2
Now with MOAR BASS!
Basically, I was bored and frustrated because a thunderstorm nearly wiped out my TV/satellite receiver, so I spent a good while extending that bass gif, making it bassier and giffier and other nonsense words. I noticed I could decrease the level of bass to -15 the same way I could increase it to positive 15, so I effectively doubled the amount of images I had for an animated gif.

Glitching done in Audacity, animating done in GIMP.

I'm not sure how popular this'll be, but for what it's worth, I'm gonna start taking requests for glitch art.

The piece can either traditional glitch art:
Leaves of Fire and Ice by Tadness Keywork Stripes by Tadness Rainbow Exhaust by Tadness
Note that the "traditional" method can include images layered on top of each other and glitched, as seen here:
Glitched Chrysalis/Cadance by Tadness TVBed by Tadness

Or it can be with the new technique of having layers of glitch art "color" the line art of an image, provided it's a simple enough design.
Glitchamena_Diane_Pie by Tadness Glitch_Art_Geisha by Tadness Glitch_Tiger by Tadness

It should be noted that the layered method is more time-consuming in most cases, but it's really up to personal preference.

There will have to be a few restrictions on the type of picture I can do:
  • The image(s) used must be yours.
    • You can either draw them yourself, get them from a free source like Open Clipart www.openclipart.org or ask someone you've commissioned if it's okay to use their art in this way.
  • No inappropriate themes.
    • This will be done on a case-by-case basis. If you're not sure, feel free to ask.
  • I reserve the right to deny a request based on reasons above, and/or anything not listed.

The restrictions on the second kind of image include the ones listed above, plus things like complexity. Simple stuff like MLP designs are strongly preferred, specifically flat colors, in as few spaces as possible. Selecting complex shapes, as seen in the Geisha picture, gets really time-consuming...

Just send me requests and I'll see if maybe I can get them done in a timely manner.
